Combine the zesty taste of traditional Italian ingredients with a sweet kick from the Southwest! A great recipe when you are looking for something a little different.

Ingredients

1 lb Lean ground beef
1 lb Jimmy Dean Sausage
2 cups Chopped onions
2 15oz cans Diced tomatoes ( undrained) or 1 28oz any flavor I used Italian style
2 15.5oz cans Kidney beans w/jalapenos( undrained)
2 15oz cans Spicy chili beans (hot)
2 26.5oz cans Hunts Zesty & spicy spaghette sauce
2 15oz jars Chili sauce
1 6oz can Sliced black olives (or diced)
1 10oz can Ro-tel diced tomatoes & green chilis
1 4oz can Diced jalapenos
1 pkg Lawry's chili spices and seasoning
1 pkg Lawry's hot taco seasoning
2 tbs Honey
1 tsp Gebhart chili powder
1 tsp Granulated garlic

Ralph's Italian-Style Chili Directions

  1. Cook beef, sausage, and onions in 12 -inch skillet or 4 qts. Dutch oven over medium-high heat about 10 minutes stirring occasionally until beef and sausage are brown: drain.
  2. Mix meat mixture and remaining ingredients in 5-6 qts. slow cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8-10 hours or until chili is hot and bubbly.
  4. Chili will hold on low heat setting up to 2 hours
